Enrolment Information for August 2025

Welcome to Brooklands Technical College! We are thrilled that you’ve chosen to continue your education with us. This page provides all the essential information you need to successfully enrol for the upcoming academic year, starting in September 2025.

We understand that awaiting your exam results and preparing for college can be an exciting, and sometimes anxious, time. Our dedicated Admissions Team is here to guide you every step of the way.

Key Dates for August 2025 Enrolment

Adult Learner and ESOL (19+) Enrolment:

Wednesday 20th August 2025

9am – 12pm or 2pm – 7:00pm

  • If you have already applied, you will be contacted by our Admissions team to book an enrolment slot.
  • If you haven’t applied but are interested in joining us in September, please complete our application form by Friday 8th August 2025.
  • If you’d like to find out more about our courses before applying, our Curriculum tutors will be available throughout the day to discuss your options before you enrol. Please attend either between 9am – 12pm or 2.pm – 7.00pm.

16-18 Enrolment:

9am – 12pm Surnames A-M
2pm – 4pm Surnames N-Z
12pm – 2pm is reserved as a quiet time for neurodivergent learners to enrol

Thursday 21st August 2025: Construction/Art & Design/Media

Friday 22nd August 2025: Engineering/Business/Travel & Tourism

Tuesday 26th August 2025: Hair & Beauty/Sport/Public Services

Wednesday 27th August 2025: Catering & Hospitality/Health & Social Care/Early Years

Thursday 28th August 2025: Science/Digital (Computing)

Friday 29th August 2025: Enrolment for those who are unable to attend any other date provided

Clearing and Late Enrolment: Limited opportunities will be available during the first week of September for those who haven’t yet secured a place or wish to discuss alternative courses.


To help our teams ensure a smooth and efficient enrolment, we ask that you try and attend your allocated date and time slot. If you are unable to attend the date/time provided, please email admissions@brooklands.ac.uk to let them know by Friday 8th August 2025.


How to enrol:

Our enrolment process is designed to be as smooth as possible. In June, you will receive your enrolment invitation by email and/or WhatsApp message including a date and timeframe based on your chosen course and surname.

What to bring to enrolment:

  • Original Exam Results: Your official GCSE, A-Level, BTEC, or other qualification certificates/results slips. We cannot complete your enrolment without these.
  • Proof of ID: (Original documents only, no photocopies)
    Please provide one of the following:
    Passport
    Birth Certificate
    Driving Licence
  • National Insurance Card
  • Exam Access Arrangements documentation (if applicable)
    Alternatively you can email this to to seimon.hodges@brooklands.ac.uk ahead of time.

What to expect at enrolment:

  • Your enrolment will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  • You will meet with a tutor from your subject area to confirm your course choice.
  • Your exam results and identification will be verified.
  • You will have the chance to speak to our support services including our Additional Learning Support (ALS), Exams Access Arrangements, Safeguarding and Bursary teams.
  • You will complete any remaining enrolment paperwork.
  • You will receive your student ID card, giving you access to college facilities.
  • You will be given important information about your first day, induction and college life.

You are welcome to bring a maximum of 2 people with you. This can be a parent, guardian, social worker or supporter. It is a busy time of year and parking is extremely limited so we do advise keeping your enrolment party small!

If you have changed your mind about your course choice, please discuss this at your on-campus enrolment. We will do our best to accommodate changes, subject to availability and entry requirements.

At enrolment, you will be given a booklet with a course card attached. This will include your start date, what time to arrive and where to go when you get here – please keep this safe! You will receive your full timetable during Welcome Week.

Don’t worry! Our expert tutors and careers team will be on hand during the enrolment period. We will work with you to explore alternative courses, different levels of study, or discuss other pathways to help you achieve your goals. Please still attend your scheduled enrolment appointment.

It’s not too late! While we encourage early applications, you can still apply online. We will do our best to find the right course for you, subject to availability and entry requirements. If you apply in August but do not hear back from a member of our Admissions team, don’t panic! It’s a busy time of year so it may take a little longer to get back to you. Please still attend enrolment on your preferred course date and a member of our team will be able to support you on the day.

Depending on your household income, you may be eligible for financial support with travel costs, equipment, kit and Free College Meals. You will need to apply online. Our Student Services team will also be available during enrolment to discuss your eligibility.

To ensure appropriate support is in place as early as possible, please apply in advance of enrolment (Bursary applications will open July 2025):

If you have declared a learning difficulty, disability, or require additional learning support, our Additional Learning Support (ALS) Team will be available at enrolment to discuss your individual needs.

If you receive any exam access arrangements, for example a scribe, reader or use of a laptop during exams, please email your evidence documents to our Exams Access Coordinator seimon.hodges@brooklands.ac.uk ahead of enrolment, or alternatively bring them with you. Our Coordinator will then discuss these with you on the day.

Parking is extremely limited and we recommend using public transport where possible. Weybridge train station is a short 5-minute walk from the college and there are also local bus routes. Blue badge holder parking is available on campus.
